A 9-Day Expedition to the Heart of the Andes

Where the earth reaches for the stars and the water tells ancient secrets.

There are places on this planet where the veil between the mundane and the eternal is thin. This is not just a trip; it is a 9-day pilgrimage through the spine of the Americas. From the colonial echoes of Quito to the turquoise eye of a volcanic crater, and from the thundering waterfalls of the cloud forest to the highest point on Earth relative to the sun.

This is Ecuador. Raw. Sacred. Unforgettable.

THE JOURNEY

Chapter I: The Gateway & The Emerald Abyss

  • Day 1: Arrival in the Middle of the World

Your journey begins in Quito. Breathe in the thin, crisp air of the highest legal capital in the world as we explore its cobblestone soul and colonial grandeur.

  • Day 2: The Eye of the Earth.

We venture to Quilotoa, a massive volcanic crater filled with shifting turquoise waters. After a challenging trek, we spend the night camping under a blanket of Andean stars, lulled by the silence of the highlands.

  • Day 3: Into the Mist.

We descend from the high paramo toward the lush, green embrace of Baños de Ambato, the gateway where the mountains meet the Amazon.

Chapter II: The Spirit of the Water

  • Day 4: Serenity in the Valley.

A day of calm exploration. Reconnect with yourself in the thermal energy of the valley and prepare for the power of the water.

  • Day 5: The Devil’s Throat.

We witness the raw power of the Pailón del Diablo waterfall. Feel the mist on your face and the thunder in your chest as we hike through the Route of the Waterfalls.

  • Day 6: Adrenaline & Ancestral Fire.

Navigate the white waters with a rafting expedition. As night falls, we trek through the shadows of the forest, ending the day around a sacred bonfire, sharing stories under the moonlight.

  • Day 7: Hidden Gems & Cultural Echoes.

Discover the secret Ushpayacu waterfalls. In the evening, we indulge in a cultural feast—tasting the authentic flavors of the land—before beginning our final ascent toward the Great Giant.

Chapter III: Touching the Sun

  • Day 8: The Guardian of the Stars.

We awake at the feet of Chimborazo, the closest point on Earth to the sun. Here, we trek through the majestic paramo, where the air is pure and the wild vicuñas roam. Our final night is spent camping in the presence of this icy colossus.

  • Day 9: The Return.

One last sunrise over the peaks before we head back to Quito. You leave the mountains, but the spirit of the Andes goes with you.
